Union Minister and LJP Patriarch RAM VILAS PASWAN shockingly Passed away today 08-10-2020 evening due to a critical condition with multiple organ complications.
He was Eight time Member of Parliament in Lok Sabha. Paswan had served as a Union Minister under five Prime Ministers. He was the voice of the oppressed and championed the cause of the marginalised.
While he was served as Union Minister for Communication in the year 2000 , he granted all the facilities to the erstwhile SC/ST Associations in Postal and Telecom. It was the guiding cause for granting full fledged recognition to SEWA in 2007. He also granted 3.2 lakh concessional Telephone connection to all Telecom Staff without monthly rent with free calls 150 and he was the main cause / instrumental for getting Govt pension for BSNL Employees.
His Passing away is a huge loss to the Members of Scheduled castes and his contribution to public life, particularly to the Telecom employees will be remembered for ever.
